It was incredibly nice yesterday and we had no idea what to do with ourselves, basically we sat around and soaked up the sun. I tried to teach IM how to play catch withthe frisbee, but as with all things he does it is full bore, this was the overhand throw as from a pitchers mound. I set the camera down and IM grabbed it and was taking shots as I was throwing the disc to him. Nice ears dog. A movie here directed and produced by AK. This really shows the energy level of the group this sunny day.
This was the wrap up for the day. Just an amazing sky.
REPEL BOARDERS, IM has this habbit of running around swinning his sword and yelling things like, "AARRGE -E- MATEYS", "WEll MET," and "HAVE AT YOU." He has a reputation for taking no prisioners. EI is...well does this need any explanation. Sodas in a bucket needing sitting upon seems pretty straight forward to me. Here are the sisters playing in the field and avoiding mosquitos looking like the little darlings that they are.
IM is the smart one avoiding the bugs and getting the full benefit of the sun.
The rising star and a little folk music from the man.
The Uncle and I were sent to put posts in the ground and fill them with concrete. You ask if the weather co-oped, of course it did. Black clouds, wind, sun, lighting thunder, rain were the order of the day.
At one point little E came out to enjoy the sun, very breifly as one might assume.
Here is a total Calvin and Hobbs moment. No joke IM was sitting there on the broken machine and asked Grampie.
Here we are as a family of three. AK with the big brown eyes IM looking kinda chunky. It has been beautiful here. Lots of weird weather, clear, rain, hail, water spouts, sunny rain, rainbows all over. Here is a picture from the other day of a beautiful evening rainbow. When it is crummy weather out for outside activity AK hunkers down with a book. Don't you wish you could read this way, using your foot for a place holder?
The kids were missing for a bit and I asked these people where they were. They of course could give no information that wouldn't lead to an immediate extermination. Something about" if I told you I'd have to kill you." I almost got this one to talk. But I couldn't make out what she was saying, something about "da baaah bbbbrad pah maa!" These spys are hardcore.
Hey there EI, I wish I could do this, I could never sit up and sleep. So, in the car, I was playing the Uke. AK and IM not arguing at the moment in the back seat. On a beautiful rainy day on the Peninsula. It was great fun until EI stole my Uke, and was playing it better that her pop! Nice one E, do you take requests? Do you know the Motorcycle Song?
The race is now a day behind and the calfs are tight as bow strings, yeow. Here are the results, and here as well. Today is the longest day and tomorrow we start the count down to the shortest day, December 21. Here are a few pictures of ongoing goings on.
EI and the scraggly one sitting together.
Leftover Ice cream cake for the pirate.
What a little sugar can do for a pirate. Getting along famously.
It was raining in the morning and cleared up as the race started. It went pretty well, both of us are pleased with our times. Faster would be better but that is always the case eh? I finished ahead of the wife so I had to take my own finishers photo, I am positive I look way better here instead of chuggin down the finishers chute. She on the other hand is looking like she is about to put the move on those folks in front of her.
Nice kick and great pass in the chute babe! And here we are with the 35-39 year OLD age group winner, YeaH BabY! This goes to show that it is never a bad idea to run in the small race just for the glory. I won't tell you how many guys in the 40-45 age group smoked me, I'm living the dream now. Race results will be in a post soon, as a link.
Here you go GZ, good call on the Tube for the day.
The Long Day is coming up, has anyone seen the time below. Here are a few shots for your pleasure. A really, really close up of those brown eyes, lovely AK. Yesterday IM and I finished the pole shed project. The siding was put on the day before and it needed a coat of paint. IM was having a blast and hung in there for almost an hour. Here is a little peek of the finished product sans the trim. IM was ready to go again later on when Grampy was mowing the field. EI was showing off her latest Flamenco Guitar lesson she has been receiving from the great Vicente Gomez.
Yesterday brought thunder clouds and rain at about 9pm. The Uncle and I finished our project at about 11pm and went for our Fourth Meal. On the way home I wished I had the camera, it was sunny-rain and 11:30pm, just beautiful. At home AK was on the job and took this picture. Great job AK you done me proud, now take the elephant off your head and go to bed it is midnight (you too IM)! And not to leave out a little cuddle time with EI and the pop. Actually it looks like a pin for the win! Here is a picture AK painted for Grammy and Grampy. They framed it and hung it in The Loo, not to be confused with The Louvre, maybe someday babe.
