CA in a blink of an eye

We got on the plane and the crew took our kids in and gave them an opportunity to see the pilots it was a really special moment for me as I was hoping my kids could have the same experience I had as a young guy. Thank you to those people who were kind enough to let these two hang with the pilots. The Crew brought them back to our seats after about 5 minutes and when CJ and I asked them what did you guys see and do up there all that time we got, "we were looking at the lights." Nice...

AK was taken to LA and was able to spend her money that she had saved up over a period of 2 years. Ladies and gentlemen I give you.......

We actually planned our very short trip around a marathon that CJ and I ran in. Both of us finished and had a great time. Here I am with the little man.

I was walking really really slowly at this point as the marathon trashed my legs pretty good

That was just about it besides a trip to the bakery in TEMECULA and a little BBall game at Concordia. We loaded up and split too soon. Overall, great great trip... we love you and miss you all.

Of Yard Gnomes and Office Heroes

Our little guy, never wanting to be left out, adopted the schools spirit week agenda. Here we have the classic yard gnome look for the Elves and Gnome day.

And for office day IM saw sister get one of Pops ties and of course the world would have stopped if he didn't get one as well. I set him up with one of my dad's old ties BIG FAT BLUE.

I haven't a clue why the sword is part of this look, but then again why does one need an excuse to wear a sword!

Long day out

My friend and I went out on a excursion. Here are a few pictures of the 8 mile trip out and once again the pictures do little justice to what I was actually seeing.
Here is the beginning of the day, it was probably around 5 or 10 degrees out.

Following the man in the lead here, some of this trail was a bit exciting to navigate, I only fell down several dozen times.

I kept looking over my shoulder to try and soak up these amazing mountains surrounding us.

I tried to get the moon here, can you see it?


Frozen waterfalls deep inside this tree line, it was worth the try to get the shot but hard to know how to best capture the image.

Here we are regrouping after our first major "crossing." It was a ditch about 4-5 feet wide and 4-5 feet deep. I waited until the return trip in the dark to fall into that one.

Back at the car and FROZEN, nice beard (I have no idea what is up with lone hair thingy)

Next years Halloween look for absolutely maybe sure.
